Kelpi wins pitch competition at FuturePack
Recently, Kelpi participated in a pitch competition as part of FuturePack in Nuremberg. After some pretty grilling questions, Hugo Adams, CEO was pleased to have won and been chosen to pitch again, at the Fachpack event the following day.
It was a different stage, but the same message applied - there are 71 trillion microplastic pieces in our environment today. Between now and 2040 the Ellen MacArthur Foundation estimate that a further 20 trillion items of flexible plastic packaging will enter the ocean if we do nothing.
Kelpi are innovating to take action and our first product to market will be a flexible sachet solution, 100% biogenic carbon (ASTM D6866), recyclable, biodegradable, with a high liquid barrier and extended shelf life.
