Kelpi has won a place on the prestigious Innovate UK Pitchfest competition, enabling the company to accelerate progress and secure investment to scale the business.

Kelpi was one of just 15 start-ups selected from across the South-West in what was described as a highly competitive field.

Pitchfest is Innovate UK Edge’s flagship pitch training and showcase programme. It is designed to help the most ambitious and innovative SMEs in the UK become investment ready, hone their pitches and raise funds.

The programme runs over the next two months and culminates in an investor session where the 15 finalists pitch to a panel of angel investors and VCs.

CEO Neil Morris said: “We’re thrilled that we’ve been selected as one of the 15 participants in Pitchfest 2021. This adds further momentum to what’s already been a phenomenal year for Kelpi and will be invaluable in supporting us to secure seed investment this summer.”
